Is your school in search of a green flag or just looking for an extra initiative for your school to participate in? Then the WEEE Pledge schools battery recycling challenge is just the thing for you and your pupils. It is free & easy to implement. All you have to do is sign your school up to take the WEEE Pledge to recycle waste batteries and WEEE can help you do it! By recycling batteries through the schools recycling programme you will be helping to raise vital funds for LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice and also helping to protect the environment. WEEE Can Help You!

  1. Choose a WEEE Champions from your class
  2. Make a dedicated battery collection day in your school
  3. Use the resource section of the website for free downloads
  4. Let your students know that they are helping to raise vital funds for LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice & also helping to protect the environment
  5. Get family, friends & neighbours involved too! EVERY battery counts!
  6. Send your battery recycling pictures to stacey@weeeireland.ie or @WEEEPledge2 on Twitter
  7. Once you have 10 full battery boxes please log your battery collection on the website
